Polske kortfilmer

I anledning kvinnedagen vises tre polske kortfilmer, som på ulikt vis tematiserer kvinnekampen.

Three Conversations On Life (2016)

The film is a double portrait with children in the background. The grandmother and the mother differ in their moral assessment of in vitro fertilisation, which is important inasmuch as two grandsons were born thanks to this method. The convictions of one of them cannot be reconciled with the decisions of the other. The toughening of the older woman’s position, in particular, locks them both in an ideological clinch. But the difficult conversation about the possibilities of reuniting love, faith and ideology is still going on.

Last House On the Road (2014)

A woman arrives at night at a lonely house on the edge of a forest. The family living there takes her in. She notices that her intrusion has set off a storm behind the calm facade. Along with her we discover what underlies the tangled family relationships and what mystery the last house on the country road holds.

The Pit (2015)

Her jog is rudely disrupted when she falls into a deep hole. There, an epic of the absurd unfolds. A metaphorical look at the changes triggered by the recent economic crisis, the film is a comedy about gaining a new perspective, which makes it possible to give previous priorities some serious reconsideration.
